DVD Tracts are a unique method of sharing the gospel message through DVDs.

There are many benefits to sharing the gospel message through DVD tracts.

  1. Rarely does an evangelist have enough time to explain the gospel as thoroughly and as powerfully as it is presented in the DVD tracts.
  2. Giving a person a DVD allows them to watch it in the privacy of their home, where they are comfortable, and hopefully more willing to consider the gospel.
  3. You can hand out more DVD tracts that you can give presentations of the gospel, they can also be mailed
  4. When evangelizing to special groups like Muslims, Mormons, and Jehovah’s Witnesses sometimes it helps for them to hear testimonies of people that have come out of those groups by the power of Christ and we have special DVD tracts that do just that.

For Churches:
Churches can print up DVD tracts and put their contact information on the packaging

For Missionaries
can either pass out the DVD tract or have special showings of one of the DVD tracts, we are constantly working to translate the DVD tract into new languages

For Evangelists

like myself, It really helped me cover more ground having the DVD tract to hand out.

Im trying to keep the message simple but powerful, but if you have suggestions of more DVD tracts to use feel free to contact me, There are many more choices of videos out there, and if you would like to use material from other movies you have found on Youtube or Google or similar websites I have made a tutorial video to show you how to do so.

How To

BUT I found a much simpler way online that combines two programs in one and does it all for free using DVD Flick watch the video to see what I mean.

You can download DVD Flick here for free.

A few more tips regarding DVD Flick.
I uses DVD flick to make a master DVD, I then take that DVD and put it into my multi-disc burner. But if you dont have a external dvd burner its ok, there is a way to burn extra copies using your computers dvd burner, and the good news is you only have to encode the video one time.

Here are the instructions

Whenever you finish encoding the video it will automatically create a ‘dvd’ folder in your documents (or wherever you told it to save the files), inside that folder is a folder named “VIDEO_TS”
When you want to burn another dvd, just open a dvd writing program e.g. imgburn [installed already due to dvdflick]
You can find the program on your hard drive here – C:\Program Files\DVD Flick\imgburn
1] Open imgburn.exe
2] Click on “Write files/ folders to disc”
3] Click on the folder icon [next to the empty box on the left hand side of the imgburn interface], to browse for the folder with the vob files
4] Choose the “VIDEO_TS” folder within the ‘dvd’ folder in your documents
5] Click “OK”
6] Select the “Auto” option of on the bottom right hand side of the imgburn interface, then click on the calculator icon
7] Once calculated click on the build button [bottom left hand side of the imgburn interface], this button is only working when a dvd is in your drive

NOTE: the vob files or “dvd” files are usually pretty big, you may want to erase them once you are done making copies.

Its also a good idea, if you are planning on encoding more that one dvd and coming back to burn them as you need them, to save the vob files in another folder. (but the god thing about having a master dvd burned is that you can extract the vob files directly from it whenever you need it and put them into imgburn whenever you need to without wasting space on your computer.

can be found here. For our purposes I have found that DVD -R is the best because they are compatible with the widest variety of DVD players. Even these however occasionally wont work on some players (mostly older ones.) That’s why i make sure to put on the label that it can also be played on computers and game systems like Playstation and Xbox so they have another option if it doesnt play.

Where to buy them? Are they expensive?

You can find great deals at places like Amazon Its best to buy in bulk. You can usually find special on pack of 100 at places like Office Depot or Officemax, they also carry there own generic brands, which are pretty decent. I can usually find them for 15 to 30 cents each.
I have recently done some research and found Taiyo Yuden DVD-R to be the best quality for the price. They are made to play on most types of DVD players.

Sharpie or another type of marker. I have also used Lightscribe which many newer dvd burners come equipped with. (If your wondering if yours does, check the outer face of your DVD burner, it will have the lightscribe logo printed on it if so.

This is a great method, but the downside is it takes a lot of extra time per disk. and you have to buy special Lightscribe enabled discs. (they have a special ink underneath the label.

Many people also use a rubber stamp which is quick and easy, they can be made for you locally or online with very little cost.

You can also use your printer to make labels that you can stick on the disc, these work with most every printer and can be found online or anywhere office supplies are sold.

If you wanted to spend a little extra there are Disc Label Printers that seem like they would be perfect

What to put on the label?

Whatever you want. I decided to be as vague as possible on the ones I hand out because I know some people might not give it a chance if they knew what it was going to be about. So I simply write the following.

This DVD is important. it can be played on most dvd players, computers, or game systems (like Playstation or Xbox)

Ebay but you can buy hard cases if you prefer. Some of you may wish to mail dvds to people you know. if so there are several options. Just remember to tell them its Media Mail at the post office and you get a huge discount.

here.

Thankfully I have found a good method for burning DVDs This is the one I use nowadays. I now burn these three at a time! , and its basically its own computer too, so you just pop in the master dvd and the blank dvds and press copy (and verify). and the best part was it was pretty cheap considering your getting 3 dvd burners in one. (about $200)
